Early morning (5:30am) shutte van to Utapao airport

Featured Replies

I live near Central Festival; are there any shuttles that go to Utapao this early?

No....only baht buses running along sukhumvit!  Best to get a taxi, only 700 bht..PT TAXIS

I believe their is a shuttle bus that runs for Air Asia passengers leaving from Soi 9 next to central Festival...times will be related to their flights.

They have a 7:20 am flight to Udon which is what I'm trying to get to. But I talked to live chat who said they don't have shuttle service at all (not sure if that's true). I guess I'll do a check this morning as I happen to live next to Central Festival.

I went to the corner of Beach Road soi 9 , southwest corner of Central Festival. there were a couple Moto taxi guys hanging out there as always.

I told them I wanted to go to Utapao Airport, one of them quoted 1000 baht. I tried to convey that I wanted to go in a shared shuttle van for around 200 baht, the guy started saying "no no".

Then when I walked away they joked about "song roy baht" (200 baht) as if it were a crazy offer. This leads me to believe they either didn't understand the shared shuttle van request, or no such thing exists, at least on their watch. I was there around 5:15 AM this morning.

I always use taxis - 700 Baht - and if you leave at 06.00 arrive with plenty of time for the Udon flight

The Air asia shuttle bus can be be booked when booking flight online, you must input departure as Pattaya Downtown.

Then the price is in the ticketing at 220 baht each way.

The bus leaves at 4.30am!! Arriving at Utapao at 5.30am.

The bus only departs at Downtown Pattaya providing an online bus booking has been made, and the bus timings are linked to the flights.

Excellent information, thank you! Tunnel vision caused me to not even see this.
