Six Cambodian men arrived home on Saturday after being kidnapped in Vietnam’s Kien Giang province, officials said.

All six victims were from Svay Rieng province, anti-human trafficking police Chief Neth Saroeun said yesterday.

“They left for Vietnam on August 4, and on August 5, we received complaints from their relatives,” Saroeun said. “They said the men had been promised work in Vietnam, but soon called their families saying the kidnappers were trying to force them to work on a fishing boat and that they wanted ransom money.”
