In a sense, it's not their fault. They are well and truly brainwashed and actually believe their own nonsense. Once upon a time, I knew this subject inside and out, but it has been a few years and I've forgotten much of it. It's history. I do worry, though, about all the people who may be dropping dead over the next few years. And they don't know what's coming. -

Travel Rising Prices, Broken Systems Dim Thailand’s Tourist Charm
Determined to slaughter the golden goose. How far can Thailand push tourists to pay more? Personally, I dislike Samui and Phuket for crowds and prices. Making travel more difficult with TDAC and ETA and arrival fees will not help. Thailand has overdeveloped the tourist industry and a lot of charm has been lost and rip-offs are the norm. There are still lots of nice places to visit, where Thais go, and where prices are better value and with less crowds. -
