Impeachment D-Day for Rousseff - once Rio Olympics are over

The fate of Dilma Rousseff, Brazil’s suspended leftist leader, is set to be determined by the country’s Senate from August 25 – just days after the Closing Ceremony for the Rio Olympic Games.

The Senate voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday to indict Rousseff on charges of breaking budget laws and to begin an impeachment trial expected to oust her from the Presidency.

She denies wrongdoing, denouncing the process as a right-wing conspiracy.

Rousseff’s supporters have taken to the streets to defend the first woman to lead Brazil and demand the removal of conservative interim President Michel Temer.

Adding to the chaos, amid Brazil’s worst recession in decades, unions plan nationwide protests next week against government plans to cut pensions and workers’ benefits.

Rightist Leftist's does it really matter they all have their hand in the way to handy money box. Follow the money. Yes in the end the labor people always pay with layoffs. I liked the new leader of the Philippines until he announced that that the ruthless dictator Marco's body would be reburied in a "Heroes" cemetery.  Its like corporations as well. Companies absorb other companies layoff the synergy's the job overlaps, give one CEO a golden parachute double the other ones salary stockholders see a nice share price bump and the dime a dozen economists sing their praises. What a bunch of hooey. A pox on them all.
