‘Kidnapped’ boy wearing ‘explosive belt’ arrested by Iraqi police

KIRKUK: -- Footage from Kurdish television purports to show a distressed young boy wearing an explosive belt.

Two police officers in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk hold the boy while a third takes the belt from around his waist and tries to disarm it.

The police chief said the child was carrying two kilos of TNT explosive materials.

The boy reportedly claimed he was kidnapped by terrorists and forced to blow himself up.

The capture of the boy comes two days after a deadly attack in the Turkish city of Gaziantep. The county’s president said that was also carried out by a child aged between 12 and 14.

Unbelievable.

I have a feeling this was a dry run.

And I cannot make up my mind if this was extreme stupidity or extremely brave action by the police.

For once no loss of life, this makes it a good result.

hard to say if this was even true. if you saw a suicide bomber would you try to take off his vest, run, or go for a head shot if you are armed? if this is true those cops deserve at least a medal of some kind.

Using 12 year old boys to carry out these dastardly deeds? What next?

Well! I suppose this isn't the first time that happened and won't be the last time either.

Well, I think the first thing is to keep him from coming closer and into an area where he could hurt a lot of people. If he complies then send in an Explosives Expert, suited up in body armor, to try and remove this bomb or disarm it.

If he does not comply then a Trainer Sniper should put one right between his eyes. That would have to be a very difficult thing for them to do, considering it is only a 12 year old boy who may not know better. But regardless, it is his job to protect others.

Reports say the boy claims his father is Daesh and trained him for the attempted attack, he claims the father had also trained his brother who earlier died in a suicide bomb attack. Sadly increasingly child suicide bombers are utilised by the likes of Daesh and the Taliban - it's claimed the children are relatively easy to convince to carry out the attacks.

If the boy was really kidnapped and forced to blow himself up, it is just another reason to hasten the demise of these inhumane animal terrorists.  These sorry excuse for human beings have made the entire world a less safe place.  Knowing they have terrorized the world, makes them feel so proud.  Allah be Praise!

As Daesh say…."westerners want to live….we want to die and meet Allah."

How to combat that mentality?

Pity they can't all just agree to line up and then be sent off to paradise.

Yes! It sure makes you wonder what kind of a father would do that. It is no surprise that it is easier to convince a child to carry out attacks. They have been known to use Teenage Girls as well. It is easier to convince a Child to do anything as they still believe in anything an adult will tell them including Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy.

But it is not the first time children have been used as Child Solders and to fight adult wars. If you look at the war between Iran and Iraq many boys between the ages of 12 to 16 were used as human targets by Iran. Most times they were put in the front lines and only given wooden sticks for guns to draw Iraq fire until the trained troops with guns could advance.  .

I really don't think it comes down to just that.

I think it is more that the Daesh view Western Society and their way of life as Sinful. Which to them is an abomination to God. So to them, this is something that needs to be stopped. Something that needs to be controlled.

So I think they view there actions more as work in the service of God, and thus why they are willing to go to such extremes and even die for that. We on the other hand believe in Live, and let Live.
