Getting a boarding pass after using web check in?

Featured Replies

I'm taking a flight to Vientianne from Utapao soon and want to try web checkin this time around. To collect my boarding pass is it enough to just have my flight number and booking number? I have pic of it on my phone.

MOVED TO TRAVEL.

When you do online check in you can print out your boarding pass. No need to get it at the airport.

was it a webpage or from an APP?

if APP, the phone's screen OK

If a webpage, then you might need a printer...

Is there an Email sent to you? for you to display on your phone?

every time i printed a BP out they give me a proper one, so I don't bother any longer

It was a picture on a webpage. I do have phone emails too

It does depend upon the airline but usually just handing my passport to the check-in clerk is enough even when (rarely) I've not done an online check-in.

I DO carry a printout of the booking, mainly because some airports won't let you in the terminal without same.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I recently flew on Thai Lion Air and on their ticket it says print your boarding pass, we want this, etc. Did it 3 times and not once did they even glance at it but gave me one they printed themselves so I didn't bother after that.

I think it depends on the airline. Long haul I do it and the boarding pass has a bar code that they beep through when going through the gate, so I guess it's needed for that. The short hops, I don't know. I always print them but it's not the end of the world. You can also have a copy in .pdf on your phone, should be sufficient.

That's a good point about them letting you in the terminal too
