BANGKOK: -- Section 44 of the interim constitution may be invoked to speed up the legal process of re-employing retired pilots to work as trainers for new pilots to solve the problem of pilot shortage, Deputy Prime Minister Prajin Jantong said on Monday.

He disclosed that there are now 5,200 pilots nationwide but their numbers are still short of demand and, hence, it is necessary to recruit more pilots. One of the methods being considered is to re-employ retired pilots who are over 60 years to work as trainers of new pilots.

However, he noted that it is necessary some laws need to be amended to make it possible for state enterprises to hire retired pilots to work as trainers.

Most of the bars these days have hookers that should have retired.....20 years ago in many cases.....

and Thai airways will also bring back all its obsolete and rundown A340s and A330s to practise on........
