What's China Air Really Like

Featured Replies

I realise that they've had two crashes in the last 10 years (pilot error?) and that you pay for what you get. But I'd be interested to know of anyones experiences of flying with them. Cheers

Think you are being paranoid. I have travelled on CI couple of times and one of these times was within a week of the last crash :o . Overall, the experience was nice.

Did lots of courier trips with them, got a gold card and even invited to their Christmas party (South Ken ..near the RTE )..circa 1995...

Always enjoyed flying with them but used to spend too much time in the bars in Amsterdam Airport..plus stopovers....not too bad...... :o

Been a couple of years now and if they only joined up with Star Alli then...yes...

Cheers fellas. Where's the best place to book? The only one that I've got so far is 1st Class for a thousand quid from City Airport (which does just fine)

Hi, I've used them many times and booked to fly with them again in January. always had a good flight in terms of punctuality, cleanliness, cabin staff, etc. I use www.travelmood.com. I have booked return flights from Manchester - Bangkok - Chiang Mai for £606

Given a choice between the two Taiwanese based airlines - i.e. China Air and Eva Air-

I think Eva is much better - only my personal view having tried both

Cheers for the links, etc. Seem to be getting it sorted - best Business @ £1, 090 from City Airport but these stop-overs in Amsterdam are a bit lenghty - going out anyway. Ta

I flew with China air last month (BKK to AMS).

Normally i always fly with eva air, this time i was in a hurry and only they were not sold out.

It was a nice surprise.

A lot better than say 2-3 years ago.

Comfortable plane, i think it was a 747-400.

Really nice to control your own movies and music, even games.

No problem with me having a little (ahum 10Kg) more than allowed luggage.

Good food, nice cabin crew. No complaints at all.

From now on China Air has my preference.

Note, i used economy class.

Small seats on Air Buses, slightly larger on 747's, but small for 250lbs guy. Great service, on time, cute flight attendents. Shower in Taipai so you can hit the road running when you get to BKK.
