September 8, 20169 yr I recently attended a Random Thainess expat meet-up, and presented on the subject of tea in Thailand. The event series is unique for having a presentation theme, with several to a half dozen presentations covering whatever topics volunteers decide to talk about. It was nice enough, a small function, 30 or so people aside from organizers, but then I guess they sometimes run a bit better attended. There is an entrance fee, kind of odd to pay to socialize, but some of that goes to event expenses, and they provide food and drinks (not all the time is spent on the presentations), and some goes to a local charity. In this case a woman presented representing a group assisting sex trafficking victims, the charity for the night, which seemed quite legitimate. I wrote a blog post on the event (I write a blog about tea), and I'll mention the link to that and to the event group Facebook page here: http://teaintheancientworld.blogspot.com/2016/09/random-thainess-expat-meet-up.html https://www.facebook.com/random.thainess/
