LPG price for September pegged at 20.90 baht/kg

 

 

BANGKOK: -- The Energy Policy Administration Committee has agreed to freeze the price of liquefied petroleum gas or LPG at 20.90 baht/kg for the month of September.

 

Energy Minister Gen Anantaporn Kanchanarat told the media that although the price of LPG in the world market had increased by US$18 to $305 per tonne and despite the strong baht currency, the Energy Policy Administration Committee decided to keep the domestic price of LPG for the month of September unchanged at 20.90 baht/kg.

 

In pegging the retail price of LPG, he explained that the Oil Fund would absorb the 23 satang/kg price increase as a result of global price rise this means that the amount of contribution to the Oil Fund for LPG would be slashed to 15 satang/kg.
