2013 Honda I-Click won’t start….sometimes

Featured Replies

I'm pretty sure it has to do with squeezing the left brake. Sometimes I have to squeeze hard or several times before it will start. Is there an easy adjustment for that? Or is it Honda shop time? I’m somewhat mechanical, and have tools.

Any help much appreciated. :)

Check the switch behind the lever. Dirty / loose connections ?. New one from Honda will be cheap.

Sometimes a little spray of cleaner from the Honda shop will fix it ....

Just squeeze the other brake lever and figure it out

Try looking at the brake light as you squeeze.... it will indicate if you have made contact. (Unless you have taken the bulb out to save fuel). Left brake means rear brake so adjustable drum. I found loosening mine off slightly helped.

It is the adjustment of the hand brake or there is dirt in the switch as noted a very common problem.  You can go to any shop but you will need to find a way to convey the information?  It is so simple most shops won't even charge you.

WD 40 fixes everything electrical on bikes and cars.
