Sale orders at Bangkok Gems exhibition are expected to exceed target

 

BANGKOK:-- The Commerce Ministry has estimated that sale orders for gems and jewelries placed by visitors to “Bangkok Gems” jewelry exhibition at Muang Thong Thani during September 7-11 will exceed 15 billion baht target.

 

Commerce Minister Apiradee Tantraporn said that response from visitors was very positive as sale orders for the first two days were worth about 7 billion baht and the visitors to the exhibition now number 12,000 and by the time the exhibition is over, some 30,000 people would have visited the exhibition.

 

She said that security at the exhibition which is being held at the Challenger building has been stepped up after a theft case was reported.

Well, once you have a pretty good idea of the numbers attending and potential sales after the exhibition has started, you set a target which is sure to be beaten, so everyone then looks good.

I presume that the Grand Palace will be closed, so all the Tuk Tuks will be able to take the tourists there....
