webfact Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Nong Khai launches manhunt for 10 Uighurs escaping from immigration detention centre NONG KHAI: -- Police and local administration authorities in Nong Khai province launched an extensive dragnet for 10 Uighur adults after they broke open the detention centre at Nong Khai immigration office and escaped under heavy rains last night. The jailbreak was disclosed at 7 am today after immigration police alerted local police and sought help to hunt down the 10 Uighur adults after they disappeared from the detention centre at the immigration office. A check of the detention room found that the escapees bent down the iron ceiling grill and drilled a hole in the ceiling. webfact Posted September 20, 2016 Author Posted September 20, 2016 NONG KHAI All 10 Uighur escapees rearrested Jirasak Wongkhamchan, Anapat Deechuay The Nation NONG KHAI: -- AUTHORITIES have re-arrested all of 10 Uighur suspects who broke out of Nong Khai Immigration Centre detention facilities early yesterday. The 10 men were aged between 20 and 41 years old. Immigration Bureau chief Pol Lt-General Nattorn Prohsunthorn told a press conference that the 10 suspects had been arrested for illegally entering Thailand in July and sent to detention facilities in Nong Khai.
