Help needed to understand some points of a farang buying a house in Thailand.
Yes, they did, do to a variety of different factors, which would take too much time to go into detail here, but one factor being they were all seaview condos, to start. I have gone into detail on some of the factors in posts on other threads dealing with real estate. Closing costs were almost always split 50/50 between buyer and seller, which is common in Thailand. When calculating our selling price, we. of course, figured in both taxes and realtor fees, if any, when we were determining how much we needed to sell for to make a profit. -

Why Are You Even Here? The Surprising Attitudes of Some Expats in Thailand
I feel no disadvantage not knowing what Thais are saying - I am not paranoid and I do not need to know. I only utilise the professional services of those Thais that can speak English (Doctors, lawyers, etc etc) and most can. If you noticed, your wife's ID card and Passport and most road signs are in Thai and English and it is everywhere in this country - it is the official second language of Thailand, and the unofficial main language of the World. I do take notice of what Expats say - especially those that have been here much longer - might not agree with them, but I do take notice - there is always something to learn here. I trust my Thai wife 100% and know she will always do what is best for me and us - sounds like you do not. You clearly have a problem with men who trust their Thai wife and do what they say in public - get over it. English is the easiest language to learn (look it up for why) and Thai is one of the hardest for an English speaker. Yes I know a lot more than hi/bye, and Thais do appreciate that, but your reasoning is flawed and dare I say - paranoid. -

Another tripping RCCB
So after the power was restored t 10pm yesterday, I started testing again today. There had been heavy rains all day yesterday, so surely plenty of water in the ground, and moist everywhere. Closed all MCB's in the MQ, then closed the MCB feeding the MQ in the main house board. No RCCB tripping. Opened all lights and everything else in the MQ, till no tripping. Started some heavy consumers on the same circuit in the main house, like pool pump with chlorinator and deep well pump, still no tripping. Lesson learned, I have to start a thread on this forum earlier if I want something fixed mysteriously. -
