Private detective

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm trying to trace a UK expat in Thailand.  I have his name, date of birth and recent photo but no other information.  I understand that expats need to be registered so his details should be recorded somewhere.  I'm located in the UK so can't trace directly so was trying to find out what the best way is and whether there are any private detective firms who can be trusted.  I have no information as to the city or area he is located and don't know whether records are central or local.  Could anyone help me?  I am only looking for his current address but need the enquiry to be discreet.

Use google.........

and that will tell me whether the firms can be trusted?  I've looked on Google and found a couple of firms but I was after a personal recommendation

Dont waste your money !!

From the other side of the world you could be told anything whilst they are sitting on a bar stool !

As a foreigner (and assuming you dont speak Thai) you are leading yourself down a very deep dark expensive hole.

Does he owe you money ??

Very Difficult to answer this...

have to agree , I would not use a Private Detective here,,........

do you have any friends or anyone you can trust in Thailand ???

as its easier if you are here...

Yes, hence I'm keen to find out where he lives.  He has money so there is a realistic chance of getting it back if I find him.  It's worth a small investment in finding him If I can be sure the information will be correct

Unless he owes you a substantial amount and you have some sort of contract to prove that he does, then it seems like a wild goose chase.

If he was going to pay you then surely he would have already, as you say he has money.

Only other option is employing some heavies :)

I'm really only after information as to how best to find out his address.  The other issues I will deal with as soon as I know where he is.  Do you have any ideas as to how to trace someone in Thailand?

OP will need to find other methods of looking for this other person as this is not the place for this:
