BANGKOK, 12 October 2016 (NNT) - The Internal Security Operations Command's Fourth Region has planned to restore peace in southern border provinces with the use of His Majesty the King's sustainable development strategy.

Fourth Army Region commander Lt. Gen. Piyavat Nakvanit chaired a meeting of military and civil officials on the peace-restoring scheme for 2017. ISOC's Fourth Region spokesman Col. Pramot Phrom-in said the agency is promoting public participation in the implementing of the peace plan under His Majesty's sustainable development strategy.

Rules of law will be primarily observed and enforced on sincere and just basis, he said. The military will continue to provide safety measures for local villagers and businesspersons throughout the southern border areas.

In addition, the local economy involving tourist industry and other sectors will be strengthened under His Majesty's sustainable development strategy and sufficiency economy, the spokesman said.

The Fourth Army Region commander instructed military personnel to strictly refrain from any illegal act or breaching the disciplinary rules. Maximum penalties such as immediate dismissals from duties will be delivered to those who might do otherwise, he said.

A similar news headline has been posted every few months in Thailand's newspapers for a century now I would think.
