backtofront
I always thought it was a case of mai kho jai. But having been given written instructions and a carefully drawn map showing a right turn which should have been the other way around, I am convinced there is more Thainess to this than I originally believed. Should one turn right to go left or is it just silly to expect to get directions when one could leave it all to chance?

petermik
Sometimes, especially here in LOS we have to take a couple of backward steps before we start moving forward again
puukao
first use your smartphone...... then really confuse them by saying, "So I should go 150 or 165 meters straight but a little bit northwest before turning East or right if it's not a one-way street and what marker will i see." using lots of words will really help in the fun.... Kwasaki
Quite straight forward really the right way to turn is left. Or turn right then do a U turn.
