For proof of residency they also accept a copy of a lease. I sent an agent to do it for me as I couldn't be bothered and they drew up a lease especially for this purpose. It's nonsense - however you can also get a bank statement with an English address on it - just pop along to the bank and get them to alter your address into English then tell them to print a statement - they will do it for a small fee - then you have a bank document with your address on it - and that's very useful for lots of other things as well. -

In / out permit expires while out of Thailand
You don't have a visa, you have permission of stay until 25th May, which is a permit. Your re-entry permit expires the same day as your permission of stay. You need to depart Thailand by 25th May, then re-enter after 25th May visa exempt (without a visa), or apply to obtain a new Non O visa at a local Thai Embassy. If you enter VE, you can alternatively apply for the Non O at Immigration, then the 1-year annual extension. Basically, you have to start from scratch again because you failed to meet the financial requirements for a further 1 year extension. -

What exactly is a Thai pink ID card?
Been trying to do yellow book and pink id for 3 years ( married to thai ) gave all documents, said we will call you when your queue is up. I been calling them once every month and so asking if there is an update, they always replied the same, we will call you back. Never called me. I actually just stopped trying anymore. I guess in some areas its super easy to get and some are not.
