BRH: Organizations allowed to co-host royal funeral rites

BANGKOK, 29 October 2016 (NNT) – Permissions are granted for members of the royal family, senior government officials, government agencies and private companies to co-host the royal funeral rites of the late King Rama IX after the 50th day of the ceremony, according to the Bureau of the Royal Household. 

The Bureau of the Royal Household (BRH) today released a statement that His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn has granted the royal permission for members of the royal family, senior government workers, government agencies, independent organizations and private companies to co-host the royal funeral rites of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej to show their contemplation of the royal grace and as charity for the late monarch. 

The organizations are allowed to co-host the ceremony after the 50th day of funeral, and are required to submit a formal co-hosting request to the BRH during 1 November 2016 to 28 February 2017. 

Sample of the request letter will be available on www.brh.thaigov.net on 31 October 2016 onwards, as well as at the BRH office at Sanam Sua Pa in Bangkok. Completed letted can be sent to the BRH in person, by fax to 0 2280 8708, by post addressed to Lord Chamberlain, the Bureau of the Royal Household (Sanam Sua Pa) Dusit Palace, Bangkok 10300, or as a scanned PDF file to [email protected]

Requested organizations will receive confirmation and instructions from the BRH 15 days before the reserved date.
