Roach, a Canadian national, has been held at Bangkok's immigration detention centre since his arrest on July 10 at a hostel.

SINGAPORE: -- Bank robbery suspect David James Roach, 27, is still being held in Thailand, as efforts by the authorities to repatriate him to Singapore have been at a standstill for at least two months.

Roach, a Canadian national, is accused of robbing the Standard Chartered Bank in Holland Village on July 7.

He allegedly handed the teller a note with his demands, before fleeing to Bangkok on the same day with about $30,000 in cash.

Let him be detained here for another 3 years before being handled over to Singapore for a year's jail term...?

Obviously they dont want to extradite the cash along with the suspect. The cash has most likely already been disteubuted across the ranks of the RTP.

Bloody hell! was it really worth it for $30,000 bucks? If your gonna do it,then do it for something worth getting caught for, like $30,000,000,If your gonna go down,go down for something worth while.30,000 is nothing in Singapore.I dont know what sort of sentence would be handed down on that amount, but it aint worth the grief.
