BANGKOK: -- The National Legislative Assembly on Thursday voted down the assembly’s scrutiny committee’s amended digital development bill regarding the qualifications of the resources persons in the digital board.

The scrutiny committee has deleted two items of qualifications of digital board members from the draft bill.

One item says that board members who are resource persons must not be someone fired or removed from government services or private services because of corruption.

The other items says board members who are resource persons must not be someone who have an independent profession, who are board members, managers or employees in a private company or who have vested interests in their performance of duty in the digital board.

Assemblymen who disagreed with the deletion of the qualification items from the digital bill include Wallop Tangkananurak, Somchai Sawaengkarn, Woraphon Sotetiyanurak and Gen Singsak Singprai. They argued that the deletion of the two items would pave the way for people with vested interest in digital business to become digital board members.

I'm glad to see it was a full house.

What all due respect, it's time, Khun Prime Minister, to  pay thses dudes , based on attendance.

With all due respect, you could fit the House of Commons and Lords in that auditorium. But then the UK Parliament is not as important as  the Thai assembly is it?
