Kenny202
Been using Garage band for some time. What I normally do is download a midi file then import into GB and make adjustments as required for backing tracks. I import the midis out as MP3. I have a Macbook pro, El Capitain. GB 11, 6.0.5. A few things and forgive me for being a Dumb a$$ The midi files I get off the net never sound too great. Piano accordion solos etc. Some are ok. Is it because I need a sound card or something or they are just crap files? In many cases would like a better selection of particularly drums....but bass and other instruments too apart from what comes standard. Is there anyway I can download better sounds (jam packs?) or would I need a better sound card to play these? (Can u put an aftermarket sound card in a macbook?) tominbkk
I think the default soundcard is ok, its just the midi sound. Have you tried changing the voices that it opens with with some of the other ones on the mac? But midi files vary greatly in quality.
