Employers of migrant workers from Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar employed in fishing and seafood processing industries are warned to bring them for registration in order to renew their work permits now until December 30 failing that both the employers and employees will face legal actions.

Employers can bring their employees whose work permits are due to expire at the end of this year and their dependents who are under 18 to the provincial employment service offices in 22 coastal provinces and in Bangkok for registration.

The employees who are migrant workers from the three neighbouring countries will undergo medical checkup and apply for health insurance at hospitals designated by the Public Health Ministry in order to receive new work permits.
