World’s ombudsman community descends on Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- Hundreds of ombudsmen from around the globe are in Bangkok for the 11th World Conference of the International Ombudsman Institute (11th IOI World Conference).

 

Hundreds of ombudsmen from around the globe are in Bangkok for the 11th World Conference of the International Ombudsman Institute (11th IOI World Conference).

The event, held under the principle theme “Evolution of Ombudsmanship”, finishes on Saturday. Thailand’s Ombudsman for Chief Ombudsman, Viddhavat Rajatanun, said yesterday at a press conference that participants would extensively discuss the changing roles and evolution of ombudsmen as they evolved from classical ombudsmen to hybrid ombudsmen.

Bangkok is a nice choice to a jolly too. But that sense of humor'delicious.

 

Is the Ombudsman still pursuing Yingluck about never answering his questions on her government illegally and irregularly issuing a new passport to her fugitive brother? He did ask several times over the years in all fairness but just kept getting promises that were never kept that he would be answered. Still, not the only one.
