November 16, 20169 yr CDC Chairman says no plan to “set zero” political parties BANGKOK, 16 November 2016 (NNT) - The Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Commission has confirmed that there is no plan to reset the political party system under the new charter. CDC Chairman Meechai Ruchuphan, said on Tuesday that despite the finding of a recent survey that shows the public agrees with a “set zero” initiative for Thailand’s political party system and Election Commission, he doesn't think that such a move will ever happen. However, Mr. Meechai maintains that some political parties will eventually cease to exist because they have broken the nation's laws. Mr. Meechai, nevertheless, said that the CDC has not received any formal notification from the Political Development Council but the charter drafters stand ready to hear more opinions on such issues for further thorough consideration. -- nnt 2016-11-16

November 20, 20169 yr Imposing political choices on the public seems to be a funny way of supporting "democracy".
November 20, 20169 yr However, Mr. Meechai maintains that some political parties will eventually cease to exist because they have broken the nation's laws. And for those parties which have not yet broken the national laws rules we can soon change those rules so they cease to exist.
