Thai Airways new Airbus A350, Bangkok to Melbourne?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

I had read a news report announcing the acquisition of a new Airbus A350 by Thai Airways which was to be used on the Bangkok to Melbourne route.

The inaugural date was to be sometime in September 2016, but it was announced that this was to be postponed until late October 2016.

It's now late November and I haven't been able to find any further information.

Does anyone know why this aircraft hasn't commenced flying on its intended route and when this might commence?

Thanks

According to flightradar24 For the past week both TG461 and TG465 have been 777's.  The 350's have mainly been doing Singapore and occasionally Milan and Rome.

Following this report from Nov the plans had to be changed due to delay in gaining consent from the Australian authorities.

Still!

I better not speculate who could behind.

It was also reported in one of the Thai news sources in English.

Just that I can't find it.
