November 30, 20169 yr Anyone know where I can get good Lamb Chops in Pattaya, cooked or from a butchers?
December 2, 20169 yr What do you mean by "good"? Not frozen? BigC sell lamb chops and will cook them for you for free.
December 2, 20169 yr I bought frozen lamb chops in good quality at "Belucky" (a meat/sausage supplier for a couple of shops) Price was a reasonable 590/kg. It's at least two years ago, so don't beat me if things have changed. (was at a time when I drove to Pattaya by car, drove 5 kg of lamb chops home 560 km ) It's on Naklua road, opposite Soi 23. December 2, 20169 yr I guess this "where to find" will get more attention in the Pattaya forum. Moved.
December 2, 20169 yr I have seen them for sale at SS Sausage shop on Pattaya/Naklua Road, near Soi 12. Boneless leg of lamb & lamb shanks also for sale. All frozen. Seen day before yesterday.

They will cook meat for customers? Can they cook to order, like I'd like this steak cooked medium-rare? (I'm serious. I had no idea they cooked!)
December 3, 20169 yr Best in town at the moment are at Big C Extra. Australian loin chops or neck cutlets. From memory they run about 580 baht a kg for the loin and 850 for the cutlets. tender enough to grill/barbeque or if preferred can roast in the oven.

And it does not look like they have moved, so still opposite Soi 23 (or between 16/2 and 16/1 if you like). Soi 12 is much further north. Here: 12.9580003,100.8924912 https://goo.gl/maps/QucuQYzdkML2
December 3, 20169 yr Geography isn't my strongest point. I'm actually in a bar next to the place. I'll use alcohol as my excuse.

I had no idea they cooked!) It was more dependable when Carre Four, but yes, they still cook(grill). As for medium rare vs medium vs well done, forget it unless you monitor the process yourself. They don't do it because they like to or care about customers.

I had no idea they cooked!) Yes, as mentioned they will grill for free any grillable meat bought there. The grill is in front of the butcher's section in the BigC on Klang. Not sure about other branches. Up to you to stand there and give directions about how much you want it done and from what I've seen they are quite helpful about this (or at least they are when it's the English butcher doing it). There are usually several people getting things grilled when I go there in the early evening, with sausages, steaks, hamburgers and chicken portions being the most common. Of course it is only simple grilling, not cooking. They wont be making any stews or stir-frys.

December 4, 20169 yr Interesting. I've seen them cooking meats, but I thought It was for their pre-packaged, pre-cooked meals like roasted chicken. Never dawned on me they were doing it for individual customers.
