BANGKOK, 3 December 2016 (NNT) – The Army is inviting the general public to attend charitable activity as a tribute to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on his birthday anniversary, 5 December 2016.

Deputy Army spokesperson Col. Sirichan Ngathong said the Army chief Gen. Chalermchai Sitthisart had assigned army units nationwide to hold charitable activity as a tribute to the late monarch. The charity events will be carried out by army soldiers and their families as well as members of neighboring communities.

Those will include the cleaning of public venues, religious sites and schools, mobile medical units and the renovation of landscape in communities and in neighborhood of roads and water sources.

The Army is inviting the general public to join the activity for the sake of harmony in society and the nation and to commemorate the great contributions of the late His Majesty.
