Which part of thailand are you celebrating NYE?

Featured Replies

For those that aren't returning home which part of thailand would you travel to?

Celebrated NYE in pattaya, BKK looking at phuket.

As long as you aren't expecting fireworks. Bring your candles.

An undisclosed location. Quiet ,peaceful , foreigner and scam free.

Some really helpful answers there?

Must be staying home, same as me.

The 3 places mentioned would be the last places i would go.NYE is over rated.

I'll be safe and sound at my home in Phuket.

I don't celebrate NYE any more. I just stay home. Much safer with all the drunks on the road plus midnight is way past my bedtime.?

Overrated indeed. As Dr Johnson put it, "Nothing is more hopeless than a scheme for merriment." The best times always happen spontaneously.

Stay home, dinner could be spaghetti, bottle of red wine, cheese, French stick  or something totally different.

Whatever you decide or where you are hope you enjoy the"bridge" from old to new.

Not quite forigner free then.

Me I'll be at the noisiest brash bash I can find. Enjoying myself as I always have done and always will do on new years eve.

Ok Howitzer, I just realized that I didn't answer your question at all. Stay home for me means the south-west corner of Chaiyaphum Province.Boarder with Lopburi Province and Nakhon Ratchasima are not far away. That is where I live.

Forgot to say in Issan

Hua Hin

Quiet night with my girlfriend , decent Pizza then just a couple of beers.

Blimey, lots of sad and negative comments.
If people want to go out and enjoy themselves on NYE, then so be it.
Thankfully we are not all the same, otherwise the world would be a boring place.
NYE in Bangers will be good by the river with all the 5 star hotels competing with each other with their firework displays.
At the other end, sitting on a beach with fine wine, great food, your dearly beloved and family and friends is equally enjoyable!

Back garden.....mountain view until sunset. After that...small bonfire....bottle of Lao Khao .....nibbles...guitar...bit of music.....relos maybe barbequing something ......no big deal....but kinda chill and pleasant anyway.

Sounds perfect, just add some bubbles at midnight with fireworks
