Pigeon plague at Suan Buak Haad Park

Featured Replies

Unfortunately, it is noticeable that those pigeons are constantly fed, even though there are signs declaring its prohibited. The cause  is that the shops in the park   selling fish fodder also as  bird fodder.

It is simply annoying when constantly whole swarms fly around when someone again begins to feed them at another side  and partly also aggressively low-flying.

Are there no regulations in this regard, state veterinarians, etc.?

The bridge at the cafe at the main entrance is totally contamined by these Birds fecals and it  looks really bad, apart from the health questionliness...

Any Suggestions ????

Good points, OP. Anyone thinking this is nothing to worry about, you might want to google "Legionaires disease."

Think: flying rodent, no cleaner than the earthbound variety.

Sad to see people here dumping rice on the ground to feed the pigeons.

It all ends up on my car as pigeon poo.

And the dust from what they leave behind is known to be deadly to young kids.  No better round here.   So much food thrown on the road the cats and pigeons feed together!

Although S B Park isn't very big the swarms of feeding pigeons is only happening in a couple of places. Yo could aim to use the the other 95% of the park which is basically pigeon free.

Lots of pigeon feeding, and of course flapping about, in Tha Pae Gate square.  I agree, very dirty and maybe harmful to our health.

No obvious solution to wildlife problems as here, bird lovers may protest. Feral cats (a huge curse) need a good culling most places but bring the screams of low IQ cat protectors.

OH yes sure, nearby the street ....Why would i have to sacrifice on  these dirty , unhealthy , Useless ??? flying rats ? It remains a mistery .:ermm:

Was at Thapae Gate on the way to the Sunday market last night, hundreds of pigeons being fed by all and sundry and guano to fill a bat cave!  1514009.gif

Why would the OP's dislike for the birds in the park override all the people who like and feed them there and have done so for decades?

There are a lot of other places he can go which do not have those horrible killer birds.
