Electoral Commission names six candidates for secretary-general

BANGKOK: -- The Election Commission (EC) yesterday named a shortlist of six candidates for the post of secretary-general – vacant for over a year – and expects to make an appointment early in 2017.

The candidates are Jarungwit Phumma, EC deputy secretary- general; Winchai Uyangkoon, former governor of Pathumthani province; Somsak Suriyamongkol, Suthep Phromwasm, Suwat Theparak, and Aumpon Wongsiri.
