Where can I buy an inflatable globe?

Featured Replies

I will be in Bangkok for just 1 day in a couple of weeks from now, and I want to 'stock up' on some items that I cannot buy in Myanmar, (where I'm currently working).

One item that I want to buy is an inflatable globe of the world.

Although this item is available on Ebay, that wonderful website still thinks that Myanmar is a sanctioned country, and bars non-VPN access from Myanmar and certainly will not ship to a Myanmar address.

Does anyone know a shop in Bangkok where I can buy this globe?  I'd rather not pound the streets on the off-chance of locating it at Pantip Plaza or some major store.  My time is limited and I want to 'get in, buy the item, get out'.

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

lazada.com -> inflatable globe shows plenty. So, if you have an address in Thailand to deliver to and provided delivery happens within 2 weeks (a random one I clicked indicates shipping from abroad to arrive within 6-17 Jan) you can pick it up here. Or someone could remail it to you later.

Thanks for the suggestions, but it has to be a bricks and mortar shop, not online.

No, I don't have a Thai address any more, and mailing to Myanmar?  You must be joking :)  (Many things that I've tried to email from other countries either never arrive or attract a high import tax)

There is a shop on Lad Prao road next to a temple which sells science and other educational items. Sorry I forget the name. They have them there.

Soi 88 rings a bell but I couldn't be sure.

The very large Kinokunya bookstore has several inflatable globes. Big store at Siam Paragon, 3d floor, also another at Central World on Rajdamri rd.
