I have a friends that is visiting from the U.S. with a U.S. passport. She is staying in Ratchaburi.  Her current 30 day stamp expires on 11-1-2017.  She would like to stay until 27-1-2017.  I told her it might be possible for her to do a border run to Kanchanaburi/Ban Phu Nam Ron, but I'm reading here they will not give out 14 day stamps there.   Can someone advise if this is true?  Also, if this is true, what are her options?  Go all the way to Poipet?

She can apply for a 30 day extension of her entry at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

The Ban Phu Nam Ron only allows a crossing if you have a valid visa for re-entry no crossings for a new visa exempt are allowed.
