Ladyboys Brawl on Soi Bangla: Viral Video Sparks Outrage

A shocking video capturing a clash between ladyboys on Patong’s Soi Bangla has gone viral, causing a stir among tourists and locals alike.

The footage, shared on a Facebook page dedicated to Phuket news, shows the heated altercation taking place in the bustling tourist area, drawing widespread concern about the impact on Phuket's image as a prime travel destination. Attribution of blame and a call for stricter law enforcement have dominated discourse following the incident.

The video was posted on the โหดจัง จังหวัดภูเก็ต Facebook page, quickly drawing attention for the chaotic behaviour captured on one of Phuket's most famous streets.

While the exact cause of the disagreement remains unclear, the video shows two individuals engaged in a physical brawl, surrounded by onlookers amidst the nightlife district. It's triggered a flood of commentary online, with worries mounting over how such incidents might tarnish the reputation of this popular holiday spot.

Concerns are rife, with many fearing these scenes could skew perceptions of tourist-friendly Phuket. Comments flooded in with one user lamenting, “This kind of behaviour is not what Phuket stands for. Outsiders might think poorly of us due to actions like these.” Others emphasised the detrimental effect on local businesses and the livelihoods dependent on a solid tourist trade.

Yet, amid the criticism, a significant number of reactions called for a balanced approach. While some demand immediate, stringent law enforcement, others stressed the importance of distinguishing the actions of individuals from a broader community.

A recurring sentiment urged that equality should be maintained, even as authorities address specific misconducts. As one user said, “Let’s tackle this issue by focusing on individuals, not entire groups.”

As the video circulates widely, the pressure mounts on local authorities to address public concerns effectively. How Patong's law enforcement agencies choose to respond remains a topic of intense interest as residents and tourists await decisive action. The incident highlights the delicate balance between maintaining order and respecting diverse communities in one of Thailand’s top tourist destinations.

Viewer discretion is advised

One of them actually knows how to throw kicks and punches. Heck, people will pay to see this! I see a new source of revenue if someone would build an indoor venue for, say five-on-five lad

I see a new source of revenue if someone would build an indoor venue for, say five-on-five ladyboy fights!

At least everybody would be paid for getting their effeminate arses kicked.

Lol - if you read the news (especially on this site) - almost everything that happens in Phuket is "damaging it's image" and "tarnishing it's reputation".

Ladyboys fighting.

Naked foreigners on the street (literally ON the street).

Foreigners falling from balconies.

Foreigners fighting in the streets.

It's a howl how many people seem to think that the "free 60 day Visa Exemption stamp" is to blame for most of those problems.

As if they wouldn't happen if people only got a 30 day stamp on arrival. Like they used to for what, 30 years before it was bumped up to 60 days ?

I can just imagine all the thugs and scousers and petty criminals in Europe, North America and Australia planning their holidays to places they think they can get away with their antics and avoiding Thailand because they'd only get a free 30 day stamp instead of 60 days.

(Apparently some seem to think that 30 days isn't enough time to properly plan and execute drunken mayhem in tourist hot spots like Phuket and Pattaya.)

Post ops?

True drama queens.  The attention begets more attention getting activities. The more you report this, the more they will give you something to report.

I agree, but if they don't keep reporting it, it will be a slow news day -  and we will just get more of 'What Donald did next'.

Nothing new, except the laughs.

with worries mounting over how such incidents might tarnish the reputation of this popular holiday spot.

Patong's reputation was in the gutter long before this event.

It's good to see this forum has reverted back to the correct term ' Ladyboys' instead of the ludicrous PC/woke transsexuals etc.

Simple solution, change perception from "tourist-friendly Phuket" to "testosterone-friendly Phuket".  Come on Aseannow forum members let's show some love and understanding. From the famous Cindy Lauper song, "Boys just want to have fun".
