Multiple Entry Non-Imm Visas at Poipet - Warning

Featured Replies

I have a non-immigrant O, multiple entry visa.

I did 90 day exit/re-entry at Poipet/Aranyaprathet yesterday.

Myself and 4 other guys with similar visas were pulled over by supervisor.

He explained that the Poipet crossing was trying to clamp down on people with multiple entry visas doing 90 day runs.

He explained he would let us in this time but that there was no guarantee that we'd be allowed in next time.

He said there would be no issue leaving/re-entering via an airport or a different land border but Poipet should be avoided.

To be honest, the pages in my passport are filling up with the Cambodian visas which takes up a whole page every time so I'll just do the 1 year extension at Chaeng Wattana next time.

Anyway, just thought I'd let others know.

Thanks for the report/confirmation.

I remember that similar reports exist in the forum.

Your is not the first post for problems at Poi Pet.

If going there from Bangkok another option is the Ban Phu Nam Ron crossing in Kanchanaburi to Myanmar. Only 960 baht and no visa stamp or sticker.

What is the deal with Poipet crossing. Are they really that lazy that they are refusing to do the work they are paid to do. These guys all have perfectly valid and legal visas which allow for unlimited entries for 1 year. Nowhere on the application form does it state the visa is good for everywhere but Poipet. Absolutely ridiculous

busy crossing

try the Palin border crossing, seldom used and if  have ur own transport about the same time as traveling to Poipet
