Deputy chief checks police’s New Year house security campaign

 

 

BANGKOK, 26 December 2016 (NNT) – The Deputy Police Commissioner-General has overseen the work of Chokchai Police Station which runs the house security campaign, dispatching officers to look after citizens' residents during the holiday season. 

Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police Pol Gen Chaloemkiat Siworakhan has overseen Chokchai Police Station’s campaign providing security inspections and patrols at houses enrolled in the care-taking services during 25 December 2016 - 3 January 2017. 

He has said this year's campaign will seek for more cooperation between the police and other sectors in a scheme of cautioning neighbors according to the government’s Pracharat policy. 

140 houses are enrolled with the Chokchai Police Station this year. Police officers at the administrative level will be conducting the inspections throughout the campaign, while the general public can still register for services at their local police stations. The general public can report suspicious activities to authorities by calling the 191 or 1599 hotline, where services are available around the clock.
