Three Held Over Rape in Forest

Police say they have arrested three men who raped a woman after dragging her into a forest in Kampong Thom province. Prasat Balang district police officer Phal Thoeun said the victim was following her husband to their farm on Monday.
 

Yorn Sopheak, 26, Thai Noun, 25, and Yorn Sokchea, 27, who had been drinking, stopped the couple and offered the woman money to go with them. “The woman refused and they dragged her into the forest,” Mr. Thoeun said.
 

“The victim’s husband yelled for help and ran to tell police that someone had abducted his wife. “We followed the victim’s husband and arrested two suspects at the scene and another the next day.”
