I'm sure covered before but a search didn't show

Haven't been to Thailand for a few years and it seems some banks want a retirement visa or work permit before they will open a new account

I haven't got either and just need a cash card acct

I got mine several months ago and went to just about every bank in BKK off Sukhumvit.  I have a retirement Visa but they all said no without a work permit. Finally got it in Pattaya at Bangkok Bank.  Good luck without one or the other.
