Mekong River - cruise or not

Hi

Firstly not sure if I have posted my topic in the correct area.

We are thinking of doing the Mekong River Cruise from Siem Reap Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam or other way around in Oct 17.  We have been looking at the web and notice a great variance in price.  We were just wondering if any of the Thai visa members have done this cruise and if you would recommend doing it?  We are just not sure.  The main attraction for us is to visit Angkor Wat but we thought the cruise would be relaxing and we would get to see other places.

Appreciate feedback and tips from any of you who have taken the Mekong Cruise.

Some questions:

• any good travel agents is Bangkok or is it best to book online?
• which way is best from Vietnam to Cambodia or the other way around (not sure if it makes any difference)?
• Best time of year to take this cruise?
• Recommended or not?
• Any good web sites/cruise companies recommended?
• Who did you cruse with and would you use them again.
