December 30, 20169 yr There is a shop at Terminal 21 that sells laser lights more powerful than the usual small ones. Children come and play with these lights not knowing that it could damage their eyes. Passersby could get hurt as well. I complained to the reception downstair but for them these lights are just toys. The shop manager is irresponsible as well.
December 30, 20169 yr But are they illegal in Thailand? Vaping is but I have been recently informed that vape juice is for sale in mall's in hua hin and Bangkok on the shelf. Other destinations are currently under investigation...... The kid's are only shining them on the floor and having a good time, ease up.

That's the vendor's demo unit. The kids are playing in the beams, oblivious to the very real possibility of having their eyesight permanently damaged by the lasers that are poorly engineered and inappropriately used. Also at risk is anyone else whose eyes happen to be open when the disco beams shine into them.
December 31, 20169 yr Author The lasers on display are actually quite powerful, much more than the small laser pointers we are used to.
January 1, 20179 yr The laser inside may be a bit powerful but after the beamsplitter/mirrors each individual beam will be at safe level. All the dots you see are made by one or two lasers. Safe level is where you reflectively blink before damage can occur.
