I bought one a few years ago. from a "good" shop in bkk. and the rear axle wobbled after 2 uses. the shop proceeded to tell me i was over weight for the bike. I weigh 180 lbs.which is not that heavy. I demanded my money back and after paying a 1500 baht penalty. I got my money back. the police were almost called. this was from the best folding bike distributer in Bangkok. does any body know if anything has changed.? moonoi Posted January 4, 2017 Share Posted January 4, 2017 Well I'd say you're well within the max weight for almost any folding bike, Dahon and Tern state between 90-108Kg max system weight. oldcarguy Posted January 4, 2017 Share Posted January 4, 2017 there are a few shops selling USED Japanese folding bikes , I saw them a couple weeks ago at a shop in Chinatown , and if they are still there , there were a few shops in the "junkyard" area behind Chula closer to the Rama 4 side This area imports used Motors / transmissions from Japan , but there are used bike shops there too.... wear your "work clothes and shoes" because it is a working mans area and oil , dirt and grease.... I believe thai lion air. for one, having a good quality folding bike would be nice. i have bad memories of the hell I went thru with the Bangkok shop a few years ago. at some point folding bikes will get to the point of being almost as good as a full size bike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am tall .
