Stay Permit and spending time abroad

Featured Replies

If you have a 1 year stay permit for Thailand with multiple exit/entry, and you leave the country, how long can you stay abroad without invalidating the stay permit? Can you stay for four months and then come back to Thailand?

Also, what is the situation regarding the 90 day report? When you come back after 4 months, can you just go to the Immigration Office and start submitting the reports again, or are any preparations to be made for that first visit?

Thank you in advance for all advice!

If you have a extension of stay and a re-entry permit you can stay out of the country up to the date your extensions ends. There is no limit other than that.

Your 90 day report will be due 90 days from the date you enter the count including that date in the count. Nothing different than doing your previous reports.

Thank you for your reply. I am not sure I understand you right - what you are saying is that the next 90 day report is due within 90 days after I re-enter the country, right?

Sorry for asking back!

It will be due on the 90th day from the date you enter the country. You can do it up to 15 days before or 7 days after the 90th day.
