Temple’s abbot believed electrocuted in his flooded lodging

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: -- The abbot of a temple in Muang district of Nakhon Si Thammarat was found dead in his flooded lodging on Saturday, suspected to be electrocuted.

Meanwhile, the body of a 70-year old man who was believed to be drowned has been found in Tambon Tha Rua of Muang district on the same day.

A police team and rescue workers from Tai Tek Toeng foundation who went to Wat Thavaravadi found the lodging of Phra Khru Sukhantithararak flooded about a few inches deep and an electrical plug submerged although the temple itself was flooded about 50 cm deep.

A forensic expert found no wounds on the abbot’s body or traces of struggle in the lodging and the police suspected he died of electrocution.
