"Thai society sick" as mother teaches children to steal

UDON THANI: -- A case in Udon Thani where a mother taught two of her young children to thieve has shocked investigators.

 

Daily News screamed in their headline that Thai society was going to the dogs.

 

"Noi" 32 had got her two youngest, aged 13 and 7, to do the dirty work for her and enter properties to steal, reports Daily News.

 

But she was caught after she got one of her children to try and steal from the houses of policemen in a compound.

 

Udon police arrested her and then picked up her child at a rendezvous point.

 

Taken into evidence was stolen property including a computer, mobile phone, a motorbike and a pawn ticket.

 

Noi said she gave her eldest 1,000 baht a time from each robbery to go and play video games. She said she made her children commit crime because her husband had left her and there was no way out.

 

Police who searched her home also found two children aged 4 and one.

 

The children were put into the care of social services as police look for relatives who might be able to look after them.

 

Wit Mutsin of the Udon police said this was a "depressing case" and a sad indictment for Thai society that a woman would make her children turn to crime in this way.

Maybe she should change her name to Ms Fagin, as she is in

for the quick rewards rather than teach the children respect

and honsty.....

I think she meant there is no other way to get fast money...to fuel her life of drug, booze and gambling...

How come they are not shocked by the behaviors of the moneyed class that gets away with murder? Who taught them to be so irresponsible? 

Why the police line up for the photo?

Where is the woman fagan?

Police just have to be in the photo for what reason other than look at me.

Every village has one. In our village we have a number of sad cases who tell there kids to rob anything they can, normally alcohol.

Thais turn their heads each day so satisfied...and go on their way. Even when confronted with their own local culture they ignore it. Faux outrage at the mother with thieving kids while no mention of those mothers that sell their kids into the sex trade.

A declaration?  An indictment?  By a "citizen"?   Right!!

Yes : Thai society is sick, not only while a women is teaching her girls to steal.

This societ do not know anymore about the values in life, and thats not only money money money!

There was a smiling Thailand but thats long time ago.

 

Nothing has done to raise the kids in a developing society that is growing along the development of the country.

The governments failed to do something for it; oh yes it's more easy to blame and let the things go and rob the own people as they do not know better. Poor country as there is nobody in charge who likes to change something. The result of all of that is seen now alreaday and sure in the next future much more of that!

What is amazing continues to be that men who father children can just abandon them in every-way possible; especially financially. Why aren't these men made financially responsible for their offspring? How many Thai mothers are left to raise, feed, house, and totally support their children and a country that is run by men is allowed to condone it? e.g. what we allow we condone.

Hopefully her kids dont decide they want to be 'teachers' like the rest of thailands young.

No other way out ??   Hardly . . . 

 

She could do what so many other 32 year old women have done and pawn the kids off on other family and sell herself while having a party every night.

 

It's a well trod path.

Come on guys 4 children to feed clothe etc...What do you suppose the Millions of solo mothers in your country would do if the "Rent relief--Welfare relief--Food stamps relief...etc etc was turned off tomorrow. It seems that every crime committed here is a reflection on the Whole of Thai Society. If we turned that around--how would your country fare with some of the senseless crimes committed.

if she had asked the cops before she tried to rob them probably they could have arranged for the kids to go into the sex trade......

For sure I can see a whole bunch of crooks but not the woman the story is about
