Hiranyawat Atiratdechakorn, 39, was going home with his child when he smelt something odd coming from the air of his Toyota Corolla, reports Sanook. He was about to park but within no time flame started to emanate from the air con unit. He grabbed his daughter and a radio and a camera and fled. He managed to get a picture of his vehicle going up in flames after he radioed the police who arrived with three fire engines. They got the blaze under control within 20 minutes but the car was gutted. Police said it was an old car that probably had a problem with the electrics. January 12, 20179 yr You know, cars simply don't regularly explode into flames in real life, the way they do on television and in the movies. Except in Thailand. Why is that?

January 13, 20179 yr The police think a possible electrical problem. No kidding. Got to admire their line of thought - somewhat similar to death in unusual circumstances, must be suicide. Forgot to say, I am happy that the reporter and his daughter escaped without physical injury. Edited January 13, 20179 yr by lvr181 Additional comment
