Physiotherapist - Home Visits

Featured Replies

The muscles in my right leg have weakened (a side effect of treatment for cancer) to the extent that I can no longer stand up or walk without assistance.

Does anyone know of a physiotherapist in Bangkok who makes home visits?  It is very difficult for me to go to a hospital for physiotherapy because I do not have a car and thus need to arrange transportation that can accommodate a wheelchair, someone to accompany me, etc.

Another option, located in Bang Na, is Kluaynamthai2  Hospital which specializes in rehab and has home care.

Also in Bang Na, Sikarin Hospital has home health care services that i would assume would include physical therapy. A number of other hospitals do as well so you might try asking at the hospital where you have been treated.

Let me know how it goes as I haven't had any feedback on any of these  places as yet. Home health care is pretty new to Thailand.

Sorry to hear of your predicament, Haroldc, it must be difficult for you

I too have been undergoing Cancer treatment, I recently finished six weeks of chemo and Radiation treatment, I am lucky so far the side effects are not too bad, I find it harder to climb stairs and my legs are weaker but my very dear little wife helps me greatly, my feet and hands also feel very heavy and tight, I am told the chemo does this, I go to regular massage as often as I can, and it does help, and even the smiling face improves things

I live in KhonKaen , and have had treatment in Bangkok, so I am a little far away from you, I wonder might there be a grateful TV member who can help you a little

If you need someone to talk to PM me and I will willingly give you my phone number

I wish you well, and hope your pain passes soon
