The Khmer National United Party (KNUP) and the Cambodian National Justice Party (CNJP) have signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of merging for national elections in 2018. The move comes after Nhek Bun Chhay left his post as a deputy president of the royalist Funcinpec party and formed the KNUP.
