Accompanied by his entourage, Gen Tanasak went to Sukhothai to chair the first annual meeting of the administrative committees of Sukhothai Historical Park, Si Satchanalai Historical Park and Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park. On this occasion, the deputy premier also followed up on the progress of the Village to the World project being implemented in the province with a focus on building a model community for innovative tourism to cater to CSR outings in particular.

During the trip, Gen Tanasak was greeted by Sukhothai Governor Piti Kaewsalubsee, Director-General of the Fine Arts Department Anant Chuchote and officials from the Tourism Authority of Thailand and other agencies. He had a chance to observe the way of life of people in Mueang Kao Community, renovate old walls on Sangkhalok Road and join in the painting of Sangkhalok ceramics.

Mueang Kao Community is one of the ten model communities under the Village to the World project, which was established in line with the government’s Pracharat policy. Its main goal is to strengthen the communities by developing innovative tourism in accordance with their potential and identity and generating sustainable income for them through community tourism.
