PHITSANULOK: -- Highway police in Phitsanulok province and anti-narcotics officials arrested two men and seized over half a million methamphetamine (ya baa) pills and three kilogrammes of crystal Ice from a car they had been chasing for speeding.

The black BMW SUV was spotted to be speeding past a highway police checkpoint in Wat Bot, the policemen and anti-narcotics agents then gave chase, suspecting that the car might have carried something illegal.

They found the car at a gas station in Tambon Don Thong, Muang district, and demanded a search. However, one of the two men in the car, identified later as Chalermphon Sriwanrom, claimed to be a police major. But when asked for his police ID card, he could not produce one.

So, the police and anti-narcotics agents searched their car and found six boxes and three plastic bags containing something in the car.

56, and 52 years old at the time of arrest ,

one hopes that at release date they are

71 and 67,

these drug mules are not too smart.

how hard is it have another car in front of you by a kilometer alerting you to police check points?

and I hardly see checkpoints on smaller roads that parallel main highways.

anyway, drag them out of the car and execute them.

next case.

The police gave chase to a vehicle that was speeding? A BMW?

That has got to be a bigger news story than the drug seizure.

More likely they they were tipped off because of an errant payment. Just the mob keeping their boys in line.

The police are still trying to figure out how the two were able to afford the BMW, since no money was found on them. "HMMMMM...This is a real head scratcher." said the lead investigator.

Perfect solution! As you know, you and everybody wants a lawless and broken society to live in.
Your next idea might be to lock up somebody for life, walking a red light.
Idon´t say that there is any similarity between drug offenses and walking a red light. Just inplicating that you are on a very dangerous one way street, if you like a life in a modern and working society.

So if he was a police major everything would have changed, right?

Damm my stash for private use.. what did they do.. oh there goes my party this week :shock1:

You never hear what kind of penalties these drug runners get. I see huge hauls, in the millions of pills and kilos of ice, but never once do you read what kind of sentences are handed down. My partner says it depends on how much money you have as to what sentence you get, some of these people are out in a couple of years if they have the right pull. Now, if it was a falang caught with an ounce of hash or the equivalent, he could expect to be made an example of.

But when asked for his police ID card, he could not produce one.

So... if he was able to produce ID then???

Caught speeding,    must have been testing their own product.

It is harder to avoid jail time for drug sentences than vehicular homicide. Amazing Thailand.

If they give the BMW to the cops and some Tea money all is forgiven TIT
