BANGKOK: -- The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has decided to drop the case of a Karen activist who went missing under suspicious circumstances almost three years ago.

Pholachi “Billy” Rakchongcharoen was last seen at Kaeng Krachan National Park in Phetchaburi province on April 17, 2014.

Pholachi is known to have had a dispute with Chaiwat Limlikitaksorn, the park’s chief, as he encouraged Karen-ethnic people living around the park to file a complaint against the official over alleged abuses.

Park officials have consistently insisted that they detained Pholachi only briefly and released him.

DSI drops probe into missing activist :cheesy:

Where they ever looking for him? Probably not.

When you look at other cases supposedly handled by the DSI nothing much ever happens.

The people running the DSI would have difficulty finding a prostitute in a brothel.

Are we surprised much? Didn't think so ...

From the related article:

< ... Korrawat explained that although traces of human blood were found on a vehicle belonging to the Kaeng Krachan National Park, it was not possible to verify if the blood belonged to Pholachi “because the vehicle had been cleaned before it reached the hands of forensic experts”.

Korrawat said the DSI had also checked recordings from security cameras around the park but these were not clear enough to identify the faces of persons inside the vehicle. ...>

Disgusting state of affairs, once again ...

Here's a shocker, he's still "missing".

He's obviously buried in the park, they probably use the same spot for all pesky activists.

Sad. Another activist disappears. Along with the Muslim HR lawyer.

Like those Saudi owned gemstones, the people responsible for sending imitations back, the deaths of Saudi diplomat and businessman who tried to investigate.

All too hard to solve.
